Chatw Safety — Adults Only, Moderation, No Data Harvesting
How Chatw keeps the room safe: adults only, name and gender on every message, block and report, moderation, and what we do not collect.
Adults only
You must be 18 or older to use Chatw. You confirm your age before you enter. Anyone we believe is younger is removed. This is not a chat for children or teens, and it is not a place to meet minors.
Name and gender on every message
Every message, in the room and in private, shows the sender's display name and gender tag. You know who you are talking to before you answer.
Use the gender tag that is true for you. Trans people must use a trans tag. Using the wrong tag on purpose gets you banned.
The optional voice check adds a badge for people who read a random phrase out loud, live. It is the best way the site has right now to show that someone is who their tag says.
Block, report, and by-request
Block someone and they disappear for you, in the room and in private. Report a message and it goes to the person who runs the site, with the message attached.
Set private messages to by-request, and strangers can send only one line until you accept.
How moderation works
Reports are read by the operator, who can mute or ban the sender. Repeated spam is caught on its own and the sender is muted for a while. A word filter hides the worst language.
If several people report a picture as illegal, the sender is removed at once, without waiting for a person to look.
Banned people cannot just come back under a new name. The site keeps one-way codes made from the connection and the browser, and a new visitor who matches a banned one is refused.
What we do not collect
No email. No phone number. No real name. The site itself sets no cookies. Raw IP addresses are never written to the database.
The one-way codes used for bans cannot be turned back into an address or a device. They are deleted 30 days after they were last seen. Nothing you type is sold or shared with advertisers.
History is short. Each room keeps its last 250 messages. Private chats keep their last 200 messages and are deleted after 30 days without use.
Staying safe yourself
Do not share your phone number, home address, workplace, or bank details with someone you met in a chat. Do not send money. Do not send pictures you would not want passed around.
If someone threatens you, pressures you, or seems to be under 18, block them and report it. You can leave the room at any time.

The message goes to the operator, who can mute or ban the sender. Illegal pictures reported by several people get the sender removed at once.
Does Chatw collect my data?
It does not ask for an email, a phone number, or a real name, and it sets no cookies of its own. Ban codes are one-way and deleted after 30 days.
What if someone uses the wrong gender tag?
Report them. Using the wrong tag on purpose is a bannable offense. You can also ask for a voice check in a private chat.
